Paper Mulberry , hanji’s main ingredient, has long been used as a folk remedy for sensitive skin. Under a multiyear joint research project with the Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine, testing mulberry bark’s properties, Chunyang P&B R&D Center was able to confirm its anti-inflammatory and anti-atopic effects. Organic soaps and cosmetics based on mulberry extracts have been released to the market, and various natural parapharmaceuticals are currently under development.
