R&D Department
Chunyang P&B Co., Ltd.’s R&D Center was established in 2007 to conduct research on the physical properties of hanji (traditional Korean paper) and the efficacy of natural extracts. Over the years, our R&D team has completed various government-commissioned tasks, carrying out technology development projects using specialized equipment and technology convergence projects. With Chunyang P&B’s recent expansion into bioproducts, the R&D Center has also started to conduct interdisciplinary research through a consortium with industry members, universities, and research institutions in wide-ranging fields.
- 01 Research on Hanji’s Physical Properties
- Chunyang P&B is a participant in the Hanji Quality Labeling Program. Our products are tested using the latest equipment measuring tensile strength, air permeability, bursting strength, folding endurance, and tearing strength. To ensure product quality, we continuously research the physical properties of hanji.
- 02 Research on the Efficacy of Mulberry Extracts
- Our research on paper mulberry extracts has demonstrated their anti-inflammatory, anti-atopic, immune enhancement, and antibacterial effects. Research is currently ongoing for the use of paper mulberry extracts as a natural biopharmaceutical.
- 03 Development of Special Products for Industrial Applications
- Our special-purpose industrial products designed to maximize the functional performance of hanji no longer only include paper but a promising new material with vast potential applications.
